About
We are all aware of the terrible sadness and devastation of suicide, it may be more prevalent in these so-called modern times but it also happened in times gone by and for those involved was equally as devastating. We want to reassure everyone who is going through a difficult time that help is available. Each of the service providers associated with Friendship House is very aware of the plight of somebody who has succumb to despair and will show kindness and understanding and will provide the appropriate help. One of the main aims of this programme is to find the root cause of whatever problem is presented and to see it through to a successful conclusion.

When a person loses their job it can be very dramatic, changes have to be made and the new pressures that must be faced can be very overwhelming. As a result the whole family may be suffering mental and physical health problems depending on individual coping skills. This is why we will be taking a holistic approach to each case, taking into account the broader implications. When you become a supporter of Friendship House you will be part of a group of people who, no.1 you can trust, no.2 who not alone will help and support you but will enjoy doing so and you will not feel as if you are a burden on anyone. Equally as important is the fact that your 5euro per month says that you care and want to help your neighbours and friends around Ireland.

One of the main priorities of this organization is Trust, everything we do involves trust and transparency, so to enable the supporters to have total confidence in Friendship House a panel of three supporters will be put in place, one from each province, Connacht, Munster and Leinster. The selection process will be done either through regional newspaper or radio and their duties will be to monitor the work of Friendship House so they can reassure their fellow supporters that their money is being used in an honest and worthwhile way. We will be releasing more details on this process shortly.

At Friendship House we intend to help create sustainable employment, we will be looking at various projects nationwide where with your money we can fund or part fund projects that are beneficial to our supporters. This is also an area where the barter system could come into play. These things can only happen with your support. Irish people have been finding charities all over the world for centuries and hopefully will continue to do so, but now its time to look at our own devastation, hundreds of thousands of our own people need help. Friendship House has the way to do this, your 5 euro per month is what's needed, it's a small investment and it is an investment in yourself.
